League of Legendary LEOs contest: You have questions, we have answers.

Cops do so much more than protect and serve, they become an integral force in their communities in many ways - large and small.

Whether they realize it or not, LEOs are everyday heroes - even superheroes - to the communities they serve. That’s why we’re holding the League of Legendary LEOs contest; to recognize their stories of heroism. Six winners will be chosen and a professional artist will bring their hero story to life in an original comic hero-like illustration. RollKall will present each winner with a print of their illustrated story. Winners and the person who nominated them will also both receive a $200 donation to the charity of their choice.

Here are the details and the nomination form, but we know you have more questions.

Contest FAQs

Do you have to be an officer to win?

Yes. You have to be an active member of law enforcement to win.

Do you have to be an officer to nominate someone?

No. Anyone can nominate an officer they think is legendary.

What does the officer win?

RollKall will select 6 officer stories and have a professional illustrator create a superhero drawing of them. We will then send them a printed copy of their own superhero creation! They will also win a $200 donation to the charity of their choice.

What about the person nominating - what’s in it for them?

The nominators of the winning LEOs will also win a $200 donation to a charity of their choice. Whether or not they then refer to themselves as The Nominator and gallivant around wearing a cape* is up to them.

*RollKall will not be providing actual capes to either party.

I’m an active officer. Can I nominate myself?

Sure thing!

If I nominate myself and win, does that mean my charity double wins and gets $400?

Yes. Yes, it does.

How will the winners be selected?

A panel of RollKall employees will select winners based on their stories and how they demonstrate one or more of the following attributes: humility, heart of service, resourcefulness and commitment.

Cops aren’t very self-congratulatory. What if my nominee doesn’t want to be called out?

We will reach out to all nominees, let them know they’ve been nominated, and make sure they’re okay with us sharing their story. We will not publish the name or story of an officer that does not want to participate.

Can you give us actual superpowers, like Wolverine claws?

We will not be awarding actual superpowers, but we will be illustrating the winners as a superhero and providing them with a printed copy of the illustration.
