A Decade in Reflection: A Message from RollKall CEO Chris White

Ten years ago, RollKall embarked on a journey with a vision and a passion to improve how first responders interact with members of the communities they serve.

As we pause to mark our 10-year anniversary, I am grateful for reaching this company milestone and want to recognize the invaluable partnerships that have made them possible – and that means *you*. I don’t mean it lightly when I say, “We could not have done it without you.” Your constant collaboration and feedback are at the heart of every decision we make.

Over this decade, the law enforcement community has been more than our supporter; they've been our compass, challenging us to improve, innovate, and grow. Because of that, RollKall has built an integrated and configurable solution that meets the needs of our nation's largest law enforcement agencies - yet, simple enough to be used by local coordinators to manage small-town requests. As we move into the next era, I want to share a brief snapshot of where we are:

  • Software Solution - Many agencies are looking for a better way to receive and manage requests for off-duty officers from their community and, subsequently, schedule and assign officers to those jobs. With our technology, we believe that most law enforcement agencies can internally manage, oversee, and ensure transparency in secondary employment opportunities for their communities. We aim to support them in doing so.
  • Scheduling, Invoicing & Payment - Most of our clients are looking for transparency in the way these services are paid. They want their finance teams (or the officers) to utilize RollKall’s robust invoicing and payment system to allow their community to pay these bills online and streamline payment to the officers. Our system captures the information from each job worked, and depending on the agency settings, can consolidate that information into a single, convenient invoice that consumers can use to pay their bill online.
  • Managed Services - Some agencies need help with all of the above but are short on staffing and are looking for a trusted partner to “wear their patch.” They want someone who will answer their community's calls for service, input the schedules on behalf of the agency, and administer their program for them. Our managed service team does this every day. RollKall has many large agencies that utilize a hybrid approach, in which they maintain responsibility for planning and scheduling large events, and ask RollKall’s team to help with the rest. We do both.
  • Flexible Payment Solutions - Whether your officers are paid via W-2 earning (on the job) or as an independent contractor (off-duty), RollKall is designed to meet the state and federal regulations that govern and define those working relationships. How an officer gets paid and the options available to them are important. We understand those rules and built RollKall to help our agencies and their officers maintain compliance.
  • Multiple Insurance Options - RollKall offers a full suite of general liability, commercial auto, umbrella, cyber crime, workers' compensation, and occupational accidental insurance coverage for agencies, the officers working the job, and the service recipient. Our clients choose the level of coverage they want based on their community’s needs and the officer's employment status.
