Steve Stemmer is the Chief Product and Technology Officer of RollKall, where he leads the product and engineering organization. He started in payments in 2003 at Speedpay, designing and administering the systems that processed and reconciled electronic payments across ACH, debit, and credit. He went on to spend nine years at Western Union leading data and technology teams, finishing as Director of Customer Data Technologies, where his organization delivered customer data services to more than 500,000 agent locations across 200 countries.

Steve joined Paymentus in 2018 and grew with the company from private growth stage through its IPO, serving as Vice President of Payments Engineering. He led more than 200 engineers across three countries running the bill payment, presentment, and money movement platforms, which process over 600 million financial transactions a year under PCI-DSS, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR. He also built the integrations connecting Paymentus to PayPal Bill Pay, Walmart, and Amazon Alexa. He then led all engineering and technology functions for TSOLife, a post-Series B healthcare SaaS company serving senior living communities.

At RollKall, Steve is focused on taking friction out of scheduling, onboarding, invoicing, payments, and reconciliation for the 1,400+ agencies and 80,000+ officers on the platform, and on leading an engineering organization that ships quickly without compromising the accuracy and compliance that moving money to officers demands. He studied Electrical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, advises PeakSpan Capital portfolio companies on engineering leadership and payments infrastructure, and has mentored fintech and insurtech founders through RevTech Labs in Charlotte since 2018. He is a private pilot, is married with three children, and enjoys traveling with his wife.
