In December 2022, RollKall added the "max round limit" feature to round-based job assignment rules (such as first come, first serve and seniority).
"Max round limit" gives agencies with round-based job assignment rules more control to limit the number of job assignment rounds that the system runs before ending the selection process. The setting to “limit to X max rounds” limits the number of rounds and ensures that jobs are distributed to officers fairly and in line with the agency’s off-duty policy.
This feature is an enhancement to RollKall’s fairness engine. Setting a limit to the number of rounds prevents the system from running unlimited rounds that may assign more jobs to an officer than policy limits allow.
