Grace Period for Call Offs

Agencies can now customize call off options for officers

Each agency has different policies regarding call-offs. For example, some only allow call-offs if the officer can find a replacement or some agencies allow a call-off without seeking a replacement if it’s far enough in advance.

This new feature allows even more flexibility when it comes to call offs. LEAs can now set layered call-off periods for officers, including a time period in which the officer can call off completely, a time period in which they must find a replacement and a window in which the LEA can establish that call-offs are not allowed without a coordinator override.

Example: Officers are allowed to call off with no responsibility over 14 days from the start of the job. Between days 14-1, officers can call off if they find a replacement. 1 day before the job officers are no longer allowed to call off unless they call their coordinator directly.
