RollKall Honors Everyday Heroes Serving Their Communities

Written by RollKall | August 19 2021

The team at RollKall is inspired every day by the officers that serve our communities. To pay homage to our everyday heroes, we held a photo challenge earlier this summer inviting all of our local heroes to submit an image of them serving their communities.

We were overwhelmed by the response of submissions and the heartwarming images of officers helping, protecting and representing their communities and have created a mural in the RollKall offices featuring every officer that participated. We are proud and inspired to have these men and women represented at our offices as a daily reminder of why we are all here.

At the end of the photo challenge, we selected four individuals out of over 100 submissions to receive a $250 donation to the charity of their choice.

The winners are:

Matt Leigeber, Tyler, TX PD

The SPCA of East Texas is working to improve the lives of animals by alleviating their suffering and elevating their status in society. They provide dog and cat adoption services, spaying and neutering services and operate a wellness clinic.

Johnathon Williams-Cooper, Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Police Department

The Special Olympics of Texas provides year-round sports and athletic training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Participants develop not only a higher level of physical fitness but also gain the opportunity to demonstrate courage and build skills and create new friendships.

Renee Bishop, Orlando Fire Department

The Orlando Firefighters Benevolent Association supports the health and welfare of the Orlando firefighting community by providing financial, physical and emotional assistance to area firefighters and their families in times of need.

Katie Rath, Omaha Police Department

Kids and Cops is a program that connects children with serious medical conditions and Omaha Police Department to give them support and access to fun events and opportunities. The organization provides a little reprieve for the kids and their families from their ongoing daily medical challenges.
