Staggered Job Posting Rules

Fill jobs more efficiently by automatically moving from one assignment rule to the next

In May 2023, RollKall added the "Staggered Posting" option to posting rules when staffing an off-duty job. This new feature makes it easier to run a sequence of posting rules, meaning that coordinators can ensure jobs are fully staffed while spending less time re-posting jobs.

With staggered posting rules, coordinators can build a complex series of rules that increasingly opens the job to additional officers if the first group does not apply for the job.

For example, a job could be set to post at a specific date and time to a specific group of officers. After a set amount of time, if the job isn't filled, the posting rules could change to allow any officer from the agency to apply for the job. Finally, if the job still wasn't full, the job could be posted on a first-come-first-served basis to all area agencies, and it could continue to run on that basis until it is fully staffed.
